Program Overview

This master's program aims to provide comprehensive training in immunology: fundamental immunology (development of the immune system, adaptation of the immune response to aggression, signal transduction, non-conventional antigens, innate immunity, etc.), immuno-virology (the multiple and bidirectional interactions between viruses (e.g., human CMV, HIV) and the immune system), bacterial infections (interactions between host and bacteria, evasion mechanisms, initiation of immune response, control of bacterial expansion), and other types of infections (prion diseases, fungal and parasitic infections). Emphasis is placed on the study of involved mechanisms, associated human pathologies, and experimental animal models. Mechanisms of action of current therapies and the development of new therapies (e.g., gene and cell therapies) will also be discussed. There is significant interaction with other specialties (oncology, metabolism and cardiovascular, pharmacology) through shared teaching units.

Teaching Language : French and english
