Program Overview

Environmental biotechnology is the integration of natural sciences and engineering expertise in the use of organisms, cells, or their parts and molecular analogues, to obtain products or services for the protection of environmental quality or environmental remediation. Skills to be developed through training – Acquisition of decision-making skills regarding the choice of methods or processes for eliminating xenobiotics from different environments. Acquisition of knowledge and skills to be able to choose appropriate techniques according to pollution situations and environmental characteristics. – Mastery of physicochemical analysis methods for water and soil in order to be able to select water and soil treatment techniques based on environmental characteristics and evaluate their performance.
