Program Overview

Immunology is a rapidly growing biological discipline focused on the study of the immune system. It plays a crucial role in developing new therapies for diseases like cancer, particularly with the introduction of immune checkpoint inhibitors, and chronic inflammatory diseases through cytokine-blocking biologics. Furthermore, vaccination remains the most effective preventive measure worldwide. Training immunology specialists is therefore essential, especially in countries where infectious diseases are prevalent. The Bachelor's in Immunology program aims to provide high-level theoretical and practical education.

It paves the way for graduate studies, including the Master's and Doctoral programs in Immunology already established within the Biology Department. Students benefit from internships in a partner research laboratory, experimental biology, and pharmacology at the University of Médéa and other national partner institutions.

After the bachelor's degree, graduates can pursue various specialized master's degrees such as Immunology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry-Immunology, and Infectiology, among others.
