Program Overview

The Master’s program in Literature and Civilization offers an in-depth education focused on the study of literary texts and cultural dynamics across historical periods and geographic areas. Spanning three semesters of coursework, the program aims to develop critical, analytical, and methodological skills in literary analysis, while contextualizing texts within their historical, social, and intellectual frameworks. This is achieved through core, methodological, and exploratory course units. The transversal course units include practical skills such as an introduction to digital humanities and preparation for professional integration. The fourth semester is devoted to the completion of a master's thesis, considered as an initiation into scientific research. This master’s program is thus intended for students seeking careers in academia, culture, or intellectual mediation.
